Biografia dell'artista

Son of the painter Panfilo (Cremona, 1581 – Milan, 1651), he trained with his older brother, Carlo Francesco Nuvolone (Milan, 1609 – Milan, 1662), as demonstrated by his first known works in the churches of Bregnano and Cornate d’Adda.

He painted Saint Dominic Resurrected from Death for the Basilica of San Domenico in Cremona.

Giuseppe had sons who were painters: Gerolamo and Carlo, whose only surviving work are the signed frescoes in the church of S. Martino in Savognin, in Engadine, and Antonio, an engineer and architect.
